Life can feel messy at times and every stage has its challenges. These challenges can offer us opportunities for growth and development. Sometimes conflicts in our lives or experiences of anxiety or other negative emotions are related to our own internal imbalances. These imbalances can be created when we experience loss in its many forms: external losses, loss of sense of self, or loss of direction. At any level of growth, the difficulties of life might seem overwhelming. However, we can rediscover our personal power and realize our potential with adequate support, tools, and healthy guidance.
I have been working in the field of mental health for over 10 years. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. Currently, I am working with children and young adults, however, I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. When facilitating individual therapy, I focus on creating a nonjudgmental space where my clients can feel supported and heard. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients with the intention of providing the most optimal environment for positive change. I utilize client-centered approaches, which puts the individual at the helm of their own process. Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic approaches that meet the conceptual needs of my clients.
