Christie Perretta, LSW, MSW, MA, PEL

Welcome! I am so happy you are here. At times, life can be unpredictable, confusing, isolating, and tough to navigate. We were not meant to navigate the difficulties all alone and I am committed to creating a safe, warm and trusting environment to support you in your growth and healing.

I am a licensed social worker who has worked closely with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I earned my Masters degree in social work from Aurora University with a license in school social work. I also earned a Masters degree in psychology from National-Louis University. I pride myself on creating a trusting therapeutic rapport with my clients. It is my privilege to help support you in your process as you work toward creating the best version of yourself.

My passion and focus is working with individuals impacted by anxiety, depression, symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem concerns, school avoidance, safe boundaries, and trauma. When facilitating individual therapy, I utilize therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Play Therapy. In addition, I also utilize Social Thinking and Zones of Regulation to help increase social awareness and improve self-regulation skills.

With 9 years of experience in the educational setting, I also enjoy helping families navigate Individual Education Plans (IEP), section 504 plans, and behavior intervention plans. The educational world can be confusing and scary. I am here to help educate and provide assistance when possible.

I work with children and adults, ages 6 on up. It is my privilege to help support you in your process as you work toward creating the best version of yourself.
