I have been an educator for twenty years and have experience working with all ages and developmental stages. I have done work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and enjoy the variety of experiences that I have had the opportunity to learn from. I’ve lived in this community for most of my life and am happy to call it home.
Developing meaningful and engaging relationships with children, individuals, and families is one of my greatest strengths and passions. I create a warm and welcoming environment for people to learn and grow. I have found relationship building to be essential in developing the trust necessary to support individuals as they work through the various obstacles and challenges they face. We are in a time where so many unknowns exist, and people are in need of support. Our way of life has completely changed and learning how to cope and adjust quickly has moved to the forefront of mental health.
Throughout my career, I have consistently pursued additional training and professional development opportunities. I utilize traditional therapeutic practices and client-directed, outcome-informed therapy when working with clients. I have received training and certification from Lurie Children’s Hospital Chicago in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Interventions for Trauma in Schools (C.B.I.T.S). I look forward to working with the people in our community.
