Katie Diaz-Hughes, MA, LCPC

Are you struggling to keep up with life’s fast pace? Do you often feel anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, or even depressed in your day-to-day journey? You are not alone. Life can be messy and full of transitions that can sometimes lead us astray in our journey towards peace and happiness. This can lead to difficulty in reaching personal goals, impact interpersonal relationships, and negatively impact our self-esteem and self-concept. These struggles are not specific to adults, as children and adolescents are also dealing with the same challenges at a younger and younger age.

I have over 10 years’ experience in the Mental Health field. I have worked as a crisis worker, in community mental health, in private practice, and in the hospital setting. I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and have worked with many different and culturally diverse populations. I have experience working with individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families.

I take a strengths based approach that has been described as both gentle yet direct. I believe in nurturing the therapeutic relationship and earning the trust that is necessary to provide an environment that is conducive to therapy. People have the power to change and find the balance they deserve.
