Megan Duracka, PsyD

Sometimes we need to hit pause, reflect, and process what life has thrown our way. We all have an origin story that can greatly impact our present living. Our past is only a small part of the bigger picture, however. My approach is to come beside you to better understand your story and help identify what patterns of behavior are interfering with your ability to be the best version of you. Together, we work as a team to empower, identify values, practice new forms of coping, and embrace change.

If you struggle with feeling seen or heard, please know you deserve to have a space here. I work hard to provide a collaborative and safe space to help you find your voice. Additionally, if you struggle with an eating disorder, disordered eating patterns, body image distress, anxiety, depression or relationship issues, my training and experience might be a good fit for your needs.

I have been a practicing licensed psychologist for the past 9 years. My training included the following settings: community mental health centers, work release setting, big ten university counseling centers and varying levels of intensive outpatient care. I am trained in several evidence-based therapy approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure Response Prevention. I have treated eating disorders and collaborated with eating disorder dietitians for over ten years and am trauma informed.

Look as a working mom of three, I get it. Finding time to do this work while caring for others and meeting life’s demands can be CHALLENGING! Just know that therapy can be a catalyst for forward movement and becoming the best version of you.

I welcome diversity, differing perspectives and values. I consider it an honor to share your time and meet you in this phase of your story.

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ― Rumi
