Making the decision to come to therapy is incredibly vulnerable. Therapy is a unique space which allows for a person to come and dedicate an hour completely to themself. Welcome.
I believe in creating a therapeutic space that meets the needs of my clients and what they are currently wanting to work towards. Therapy sessions are flexible to allow time for skill building, processing, practicing mindfulness, and/or working towards goals. During our sessions I like to educate clients on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help address distorted thinking and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help build coping skills to practice in the moment.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 in multiple disciplinary settings such as Residential, Psychiatric Inpatient, PHP, IOP, and individual therapy. This has allowed me to work with a wide variety of mental health needs and have a collaborative approach to serve my clients.
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.” – Brene Brown, Daring Greatly
